Nasa alerts as asteroid

"NASA Alerts as Asteroid Apophis Makes Closest Pass by Earth"

NASA has issued a warning about asteroid 99942 Apophis, also known as the "God of Chaos," as it makes its closest pass by Earth yet. While the asteroid is not expected to collide with our planet, its close approach could cause vibrations on Earth's surface.

These vibrations might affect the asteroid's path, requiring close monitoring to ensure its trajectory remains stable.

NASA is getting ready for a close flyby of the massive asteroid 99942 Apophis, also called the "God of Chaos,"

which will pass closest to Earth today, November 13th. Apophis is about 450 meters long and 170 meters wide, roughly the size of New York's Empire State Building.

It was first discovered in 2004 and has drawn attention due to its size and proximity to Earth. Today, it will pass safely at about 19,000 miles from Earth—close enough that Earth's gravity could affect it. Although there’s no risk of a collision,

scientists are watching closely because this close approach could cause "astroquakes," or vibrations that might change Apophis' path. NASA has been tracking Apophis for nearly 20 years and assures there is no danger of a collision with Earth for at least the next 100 years.
